Sample agreements for research and development cooperation

Guidelines for cooperation between the academic sector and industry

Sample agreements

The sample agreements presented in this document make a distinction between contract research, cooperation research and contracts for work and services as forms of potential cooperation between the scientific community and industry in the area of research and development. The group of experts has adopted the distinction criteria outlined in the "Berlin contract modules".

The following overview shows the delimitation criteria selected in the already existing "sample agreements". They should not be perceived as alternative or cumulative criteria, but are merely intended to serve as guidelines. It should also be borne in mind that it may not be possible in all circumstances to find an unequivocal delimitation.
